A single step up from the living area leads you to the private bedroom with lots of natural light. The bedroom features stylish seagrass flooring, recessed lighting, a full size dresser and closet with full length mirrors.  Rest well in the new queen bed with 700 thread count sheets and a comfy plush comforter-duvet.

The bathroom features designer travertine wainscot walls, shower/tub combo and heated tiled floors along with a pedestal sink, large skylight and great lighting options.

The light and bright European kitchen has a honed-quartz countertop with an inset dual-burner cooktop, Italian-marble coffee bar and state-of-the-art appliances; an undercounter two-drawer fridge, automatic pull-drawer microwave, Breville countertop oven, Keurig coffee maker and French press.

The Neighborhood

The Almond-Shuey neighborhood is located in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek. The cottage boasts a ‘Walk Score’ of 88  meaning you are within a few minute stroll of the East Bay’s finest shopping, dining, theater and the arts along with local and regional transportation plus tons of outdoor options.

We’ve compiled and printed a guide to downtown Walnut Creek that includes a list of our favorite restaurants, pubs, wine bars & shops.

Living Area

This 720 square foot bungalow-style cottage located behind our home was built in 1931 and features polished concrete floors, a lighted redwood-beamed living area with brick fireplace (sorry, no fires - candles only), recessed lighting with offset lighting accents and warmly painted linen-colored walls.

The alcove just off the entry offers a light work area with Pottery Barn desk and bookshelf unit should you need to spread out with your laptop and catch up on work. USB outlets are also conveniently located on plugs throughout the cottage.

The living area has a plush loveseat/couch and leather chair along with a 42-inch flat panel TV with basic cable, DVD player and Roku.
